Who appears here is decided by the teams, not by Atlas: a team publishes a roster, and Atlas records what that roster says. Three sources are permitted, all of which mean the team decided rather than we did: its published roster, its own announcement of a specific appointment, and an institutional biography. Paper authorship never establishes employment and is never used to build a roster. A team publishing a roster of several hundred researchers is a source we may draw on, not a directory we copy. No rumours, compensation or private details. Every record separates what a source states from the Atlas reading of why it matters, names what is still unconfirmed, and carries the date it was read—a role can stop being true with no announcement. A name leaving a roster is an absence, not a departure, and is never published as one without a separate official source. To correct a record about yourself, write to [email protected]; it is updated or removed first and discussed after.

Pulse records a dated public release, paper, product, benchmark, dataset or demonstration from a tracked team. Each item keeps its source role and evidence limitation visible.
Long-form Atlas articles are held to a higher bar than a Pulse item: every source is the original publication, numbers and proper nouns are checked against it, and the line between what a team claims about itself and what an outside party measured stays visible. Pulse does not lower that standard.
